URS Family Embraced the Call to be KAYAKAPP!

As inspired boldly by 1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Encourage one another and build each other up”, URS  pins its move to serve a project coined as URS KAYAKAPP which is an ellipsis for Kapwa Ay YAmang KAagapay sa Pagbangon ng Pamayanan.

The Bayanihan Project bridged support of foods, canned goods, bottled water, blankets, clothes, etc to around  1,000 families which were devastated in the upland communities of Tanay and community folks of Rodriguez and San Mateo Rizal.

Dr. Fe Esperanza T. Mateo, Director of the Extension Services Unit, who championed the project in close coordination with the Campus Directors and Campus Heads for Extension, URS KAYAKAPP became a successful reality because of the big hearts of the URS administrators, faculty, non-teaching personnel, students plus the very support that was given by the URS Alumni Affairs, Alumni Associations and friends of the University. The campaign for support ran from November 16-23, 2020 and the distribution by the TWG happened between December 1-16, 2020.
