CLL Programs and Projects

A. REFRESHERS’ COURSE

A short-term course is designed for licensed Teacher Education graduates who for at least five (5) have not been into actual teaching and are decided to apply for a teaching job in any government schools in the country. The course is intended to provide participants exposures to trends and issues affecting the 21st century learners; familiarize themselves with the new teaching approaches and strategies as well as the assessment of learning in the standpoint of R.A. 10533- “Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum Law of 2013”.

B. PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

An intensive program designed to equip licensed teachers who are teaching and/ or aspiring to teach in the kindergarten level but are not graduates of early childhood or preschool education. This course covers topics on Fundamental Concepts/ Theories and Principles of Preschool Education; Characteristics of Filipino Youth; Strategies and Approaches in the teaching of Numeracy, Reading, Music and Arts to young children; Guidance and Counselling Young Children, etc.

C. MANAGEMENT OF LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER/ SCHOOL LIBRARY

A short-term course intended for the professional teachers who are given quasi- assignment in managing School Learning Resource Room/ School Library and Reading Centers. Topics cover the following areas: overview of libraries and librarianship; basic theories, concepts, principles philosophical underpinnings of librarianship and issuances related to Philippine Librarianship; Cataloguing; Basic Information Technology; and organization and management for effective library and information services.

D. LICENSURE/BOARD REVIEW PROJECT

This project shall provide review classes for Licensure Examinations such for Teachers (LET); Civil Service Examinations (CSE), and Psychometric Examination,

E. TEACHING SELECTED TOPICS IN MUSIC, ARTS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH

A short-term course intended for the professional teachers who are teaching MAPEH but have not specialized in these areas. The whole course will cover topics such as the following: “ Music Literature”; “Sports Aquatic and Other Swimming Activities”; “Philippines Folk Dances and other Forms”; “Personal Environment, Health Safety Education and First Aid”; “Coaching and Officiating of Sports Events, Dance Competitions and Music Activities”; and “Gymnastics and Sports Biomechanics”.

F. SPECIALIZED (ART/ SPORTS) COURSES

This is offered to children and youth during summer vacation as enhancement to their God- given gifts and talents in different areas of arts. These may include: visual arts workshops; voice and music lessons; ball games summer clinics, and the like.

G. CUSTOMIZED TRAINING PROJECT

This project will include provision of services like: Gender and Development Seminars, Trainings on Basic Education Curriculum, Research Conferences, Accelerated Teacher Education Program (ATEP), Politics and Good Governance, and other services as maybe needed by other agencies.
