Challenged by the opportunity to take part in the first-ever Regional Research Innovation Week by the Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research Development and Extension Consortium (STAARDEC), URS through the Production and Services team under the directorship of Dr. Leo C. Rio served as one of the exhibitors during the Techno-Expo for the week-long event last October 23-26, 2023 at the UPLB. URS entry titled “SOLARIS” won First Place in the STAARTOK Competition.
Products of the University such as the Perl bath soap and laundry soap, stingless honey, gourmet tuyo, office mate, and trichantera stuff among others were displayed with the IEC materials and flyers for the services offered by the University of Rizal System.
Other than the Techno Expo and Fellowship Night, there were paper presentations and competitions being participated by consortium member institutions.
