Leadership, Environment Fostered in ALAB Fest

                 As a commitment towards environmental stewardship and young leaders nourishment, the Student Government of URS Tanay held the Annual Leadership and Biodiversity Festival or ALAB Festival.

The celebration kicked off on December 7, 2022, with the grand opening program, ALAB Awit singing competition, ALAB Pinta painting competition, ALAB Pitik photography competition, and ALAB Usap environmental talk with the Grand  ALAB Day on January 26, 2023. The event started with a lively parade of army band, festival dancers, students, and faculty. It was then followed by the street dancing competition, festival kings and queens showdown, battle of the band, and a concert at the Sunken Oval.

The event was graced by the Vice Mayor of Tanay, Rizal, Hon. Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, the Barangay Captain of Brgy Sampaloc, the URS Tanay Campus Director, Dr. Namerod  Mateo, the deans of the three colleges, Dr. Alexander Abrazado, Dr. Ma. Heidee Marquez, and Prof. Ruff Jon Florendo, Jr., the head of EEBRC, Engr. Maribeth Esteva, and the Laboratory Schools Principal, Prof. Lanie Yanga.

The ALAB Festival aimed to signify the message of taking good care of all forms of life in nature, and the huge role the young leaders play in ensuring a healthy planet. The festival was chaired by Joseph Atienza, USSG Vice President for External Affairs. ~ MSE
