The Intellectual Property Office of the University was recognized and awarded as Best Administrative Unit during the 18th Annual Celebration of University PRAISE held on September 29, 2023, at the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining (EARTS) at URS Morong Campus.
IPO has commendably served its targets with flying colors as evidenced by the active responses and gradual increase of both faculty and students who have strengthened awareness and developed IPs applied and registered for appropriate certification.
True to their commitment to building a heightened awareness among the stakeholders of the University, the IPO Team champions a series of seminars in different campuses of the University from the second to the last quarters of 2023. Dr. Leo C. Rio, the Head of the URS IPO with Christian Russel Rones and Danica B. Robles, and support staff in the persons of Ryan Guinto, and Ella Mae Ramos pinned dedicated time and efforts in pursuing a massive education campaign in the name of IP Rights and Registration.
The IPO Team players also take pride not just in coming up with a number of applications that are already granted certification but also in the development of a good number of individuals, both internal and external stakeholders who are cautious in the protection of potential IPs on their developed researches and other academic requirements.
VP Marites M. Rio expressed her gratefulness to the team for the exemplary and unrelenting sense of dedication and commitment in the name of promoting a culture of productivity and excellence in support of IPO goals and services.
