Walls are always best with windows as it provides the avenue to seize opportunity outside. The same opportunity came true with Prof. C. Jerry Esperanza, Engr. Inah Andrea Din and Dr. Rocan B. Pangan when they embraced the invitation and challenge to take part as URS representatives during the 4th DOST-PCAARRD Technology challenged by the reality that trends in the conduct of researches plus development of technologies for adaption in the conduct of community development projects, the URS IPO doubly serves its effort in the conduct of series of seminar-trainings that intend to increase awareness among the individuals and community folks in the different service areas of the university.
“The increasing awareness of people in obtaining IP rights is fundamental to securing the commercial viability and success of developed technologies in the University. The faculty, staff, and students deserve to learn the rules and the craft for it will surely help the University advance its status in terms of technology generation as well as in resource generation”, Dr. Leo C. Rio, Head, IPO pointed out in good hope as he expound in most online advocacy meetings and seminars the reason why he urges for support the operation of the URS-IPO.
