Five categories of awards in first, second, and third places received by the best researchers and extension implementers in this year’s PRAISE. These are Best Research (Descriptive and Experimental), Best Extension Project, Best Research e-poster, and Best Extension e-poster.
For the Best in Descriptive Research, the winners are 1st Place: Dr. Maria Salome A. Desoloc and Dr. Fe Esperanza T. Mateo – Project: Potentials of Tagbak (Alpinia elegans (C.Presl) K.Schum) as Antihyperuricemia and tea, Study 1: Ethnomedicinal Uses of Tagbak (Alpinia elegans (C. Presl) K. Schum); 2nd Place: Dr. Lilibeth R. Roldan and Prof. Liezel R. Francisco – Project Title: University Online Counseling Project, Study 1: Lived Experiences of Guidance Counselors in the University of Rizal System; and 3rd Place: Ar. Lyndon Sheridan P. Trinidad – Proposed Pililla Business District and Grand Terminal – Pre-Design (Infrastructure Feasibility Study).
For the Best in Experimental Research, the winners are 1st Place: Prof. Liezel R. Francisco – Development, Validation, Acceptability, and Effectiveness of Module in Developmental Psychology (Electronic or Hard Copy); 2nd Place: Dr. Leo C. Rio, Dr. Marites M. Rio, and Prof. Jojimar S. Julian – Protective Air-Curtain Cap and Face Shield Assembly (PACC FASA); and 3rd Place: Dr. Analyn V. Inarda – Testing the Effectiveness and Acceptability of Print Modules for Business Students.
For the Best in Extension Project, the winners are 1st Place: Dr. Marilou C. Pantaleon, Dr. Norberto M. Nataño, and Dr. Jenisus O. Dejarlo – Delivering Access to Quality Learning Opportunities to Marginalized Community (DALOY); 2nd Place: Dr. Alexander M. Abrazado, Engr. Amabel P. Cruz, Dr. Elvira S. Abines, Prof. Ma. Angela R. Quinto, Mr. Dandee M. Bitancor, Ms. Naomi D. Ruedas, Prof. Violeta C. Esperanza, Prof. Ailey B. Dizon, and Engr. Maribeth S. Esteva – Pagpapayabong ng mga Produktong Agrikultura: Sagot ng STAARRDEC sa COVID-19; and 3rd Place: Dr. Jocelyn L. Gagalang and Ms. Anna Minia Lourdes C. Martinez – READ: Raising Enthusiastic and Active Dwellers (A Community Reading Program for the Townsfolk of Pililla, Rizal – Phase 2 at Barangay Quisao).
For the Best Research e-poster, the winners are 1st Place: Mr. Mark Alfred F. Regalario and Dr. Jerwin M. Mahaguay – Many Faces of Capital: Understanding the Smalltime Vendors’ Struggle in Finding Space in the Market through Informal Loans; 2nd Place: Dr. Leo C. Rio, Dr. Marites M.
