Morong, Rizal – Members of the University of Rizal System Provident Fund, Inc. (URSPFI) gathered for the Annual General Membership Assembly at the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining (EARTS) URS Morong Campus on April 26.
This annual gathering allows members to stay informed about the fund’s operations, voice their concerns, and actively participate in decision-making processes. Moreover, it fosters transparency and accountability within the organization, ensuring all members are kept abreast of pertinent developments. Also, the event is a crucial platform for all URSPFI to review the organization’s performance, discuss financial matters, and elect new representatives.
The assembly commenced with Mr. Jerwin Patangui, University HRMO, and PFI Secretary, declaring the quorum and indicating the presence of the required number of members for official proceedings. Dr. Nancy Pascual, University President, and PFI Chairperson, delivered the welcome remarks and presided over the presentation and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting.
Dr. Marvin Amoin, Vice President for Administration and Finance and PFI Chief Executive Officer, presented the financial report and operational updates, shedding light on the fund’s performance over the past year. This was followed by a comprehensive financial welfare guide for government workers presented by Mr. Jed Velarde, Head of Partnerships and Sponsors at COL Financial Group, Inc.
A moment of recognition ensued as Dr. Renato De Lemon, Dr. Nelson Gonzales, and Ms. Enone Faulve were honored with plaques of recognition for their invaluable service as former trustees of the URSPFI.
The assembly also witnessed the official oath-taking of Prof. Clarissa Marino, Supervising Administrative Office – Finance Division, and University Accountant, as the newly elected non-teaching personnel representative, symbolizing the commitment to uphold the interests of all members.
Hon. John Vincent Guillermo, Faculty Regent and URSPFI Trustee delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to the attendees for their active participation and emphasizing the importance of collective engagement in safeguarding the fund’s interests and promoting its growth.
