Meanwhile, Dr. Cristine Jessa Nagares and Mrs. Ma. Mariz Masinsin, both graduates of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) major in English, were re-elected as Vice President for Internal and Vice President for External Affairs, respectively.
Mr. Aljon Bocalan, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS Psych) graduate, was elected as Secretary, while Prof. Reniel Domingo, a BSE English alumnus, was named Assistant Secretary. Prof. Christian Nievera, a BSE Filipino graduate, was re-elected as Treasurer, and Mr. Ginuel Buenaventura, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) graduate, was elected as Auditor.
Moreover, Frnchytt Mykll Dela Cruz, a BS Psychology alumna, and Dr. Ron Jay Mawili, a Doctor in Public Administration (DPA) alumnus, were appointed as Public Information Officers. Three Business Managers were elected: Mrs. Stephanie Vidanes, a BSE English alumna; Dr. Elmerson Paulete, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BS Math) alumnus; and Dr. Miriam Erasga, a BSE Filipino alumna.
Dr. Ariel Plantilla, URSP Campus Director, extended his message to the alumni, “I hope the new set of officers will organize the grand alumni homecoming… we would really love to see you return to your second home, URS Pililla Campus.”
“This assembly is also significant as we elect a new set of officers who will be the drivers guiding us into a new chapter of connection and excellence.” Dr. Jocelyn Gagalang, Director of the Office of Public Affairs, shared.
“It is an expression of trust, unity, and shared responsibility. As we vote for new officers, we are entrusting them with the task of continuing the legacy of service and excellence among our alumni.” Prof. Loida Masinsin, Dean of the College of Business, added.
Prof. Janice Hilao, Head of University Alumni Affairs, remarked, “We hope this shared beginning will continue to inspire meaningful impact not only in Pililla but also throughout the entire university.”
(“All our plans can now be implemented since there are no more restrictions—the pandemic halted us before. This time, all programs will be executed. We will continue to share our noble goals for our beloved university.”)
This assembly was not only held to elect new leaders of the alumni community but also served as a strong indication of the alumni’s commitment to the university and the lasting connection between the institution and its graduates.
