To celebrate cultural diversity and unification through the arts, the Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) held the 7th Culture and Arts Festival at the Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) on October 16-17. The event was attended by 12 state universities and colleges from Regions IV-A and IV-B.
Twelve participating state colleges and universities namely, Batangas State University (BSU), Cavite State University (CvSU), Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), University of the
Philippines – Los Baños (UPLB), University of Rizal System (URS), Ma rinduque State College (MSU), and Mindoro State College in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, this year’s venue for the event.
URS brought home awards for the following categories: Instrumental Solo, Violin, First Place; Instrumental Solo, Classic Guitar, First; Poster-making, Second; Vocal Duet, Third; Short and Sweet Play, Fourth; and, Photography, Fifth Place.
This year’s theme is “Pag-usahon para sa Sining: A Celebration of Multiculturalism.” // JFa
