The Office of Public Affairs through the Office of Local Linkages held a series of virtual Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Rizal, LGU of Baras, and Teresa. It is a partnership that aims to capacitate the Sanggunian ng Kabataan (SK) Federation of Rizal and the local government units of Baras and Teresa through an online platform.
The University of Rizal System and the duly elected officers and members of SK Federation of Rizal, LGU of Baras and Teresa are concerned about the goal of maximizing and serving the Province of Rizal amidst the pandemic by providing specific technical assistance such as Capacity Building on Online Virtual Platform Management which is needed by the SK Federation, LGU of Baras and Teresa. It aims to capacitate the participants in Online Platform Management namely: Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and Google Forms.
The brain behind this partnership was the Vice President for Research Development, Extension, and Production, Dr. Marites Rio, and was initiated by the Office of Public Affairs through the Director, Dr. Reneecila Paz De Leon, and the Head of Local Linkages, Mr. Jonas D. Ynares. The project was supported by the Director for Extension Services, Dr. Fe Esperanza Mateo with the help and support of the other Heads of the Office of Public Affairs, Prof. Arminda Campo, Head for Publication; Mr. Ernan De Jesus, Head for Alumni Affairs and Mr. Kevin Aquino, staff and technical support for the Office of Public Affairs.
The partnership will now be turned over to URS Binangonan Campus, headed by the Campus Director Dr. Eden Santos in which the speakers and trainers will be coming from the College of Computer Studies, headed by the Dean, Prof. Joy Cruz.
The training will commence in the second week of October until December 2020.
