The University of Rizal System (URS) has expanded the number of university partners through the signing of various Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) within the period of June 2021 to June 2022.
To strengthen the presence of the University to the local community, URS has entered into different partnerships with various local government units as well as different private enterprises to enhance the involvement of the University to various local development projects as well as improving student career opportunities.
Some of the partners of the University are well-known companies such as Unilab, Inc. and Accenture which focus on student development and research, and different government units such as the Department of Interior and Local Government of Region IV-A (DILG IV-A) and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) which deal with local development and extension programs.
In addition to the local partners, URS has also managed to extend its partnership to Pakistan through its MOU with the Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). There are also other ongoing talks with other international universities from China, Korea, Malaysia and Pakistan for possible partnerships.
There is high hope between URS and its partners that these MOUs or MOAs will lead to beneficial partnership for both sides. // Renato Allen Casas
