A three-day strategic planning workshop themed as “Global Excellence through International Recognition”was conducted by the University of Rizal System on February 17-19, 2016 at Villa Alfredo’s Resort in Barangay Baliti, San Fernando, Pampanga. The said planning workshop was attended by the members of the Administrative Council and other Unit Heads of the University headed by Dr. Marita R. Canapi, University President. It was highlighted by the president’s report on the remarkable developments, progress and other accomplishments of her administration in the first four years, 2012-2016 which sets the direction towards facing the challenges of the next four years, 2016-2020 and beyond. The challenges cover those of ASEAN integration; ISO Initiatives; K to 12 of Deped, including OBE and curriculum revision initiatives;Rationalization Verticalization, and Departmentalization; Licensure Examination and Graduate Studies Performance; Financial Management and Budget Utilization; and URS Initiatives for community and nation-building.
