Three campuses of the University underwent Level II accreditation survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) on May 2-6. Likewise, URS had undergone the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 recertification on May 5 -6.
Two undergraduate courses – Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology (BSIT) and BS in Office Administration (BSOA) – of URS – Binangonan, the BS in Fisheries of URS – Cardona; and the BS in Office Administration, Master in Public Administration, and Doctor in Public Administration of URS -Pililla underwent online accreditation.
Dr. Divinagracia De Guzman of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) served as overall coordinator for the Binangonan and Cardona campuses. Other AACCUP team members include Dr. Rosemarie Lee from North Luzon Philippines State College (NLPSC), Prof. Roderick Vicente from Ifugao State University (ISU), Prof. Trinidad Pasong from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), Prof. Rosa Diestro of Rizal Techological University (RTU), Prof. Grace Brizuela of Bicol University (BU), Dr. Imee Perante of Carlos Hidalo Memorial State University (CHSU) and Dr. Winda Cejas of University of Southeastern Philippines (USP).
For the Pililla Campus, Dr. Wilhelm Cerbo of West Visayas State University (WVSU) served as overall coordinator. Other team members are Dr. Aristeo Salapa of USP, Dr. Teresita Pepito of Central Mindanao University (CMSU), Dr. Marian Loren Valera of Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST), Prof. Vilma Sapil of MPSPC, Dr. Maria Blanca Sy of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), and, Dr. Sarah Taupan and Dr. Benhur Asid, both from Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).
Similarly, the URS had undergone the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 recertification on May 5 -6. Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. URS is a certified provider of tertiary and graduate education and a conductor of research and extension activities in the province of Rizal.
