The much-awaited 8th STRASUC Festival King and Queen hails contenders from UPLB and URS as the search was held on November 27 at URS Morong Quadrangle.
University of the Philippines-Los Baños’s Jan Paolo Ratilla and University of Rizal System’s Natasha Mae Ore was hailed as this year’s Festival King and Queen. Following closely were the first runners-up Yuan Gabriel Lugada, and Winalie Kahulugan from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU). The second runners-up were Mark Joash Robles and Shaiane Jade Decal from Batangas State University (BatSU).
The third runners-up were John Victor Bautista from Palawan State University (PSU) and Xyrisse Carpio from Mindoro State University (MinSU) and the fourth runners-up were Dusteen Guy Cerita from URS and Sheryll Shane Igpalina from PSU, respectively. The newly crowned royalty is expected to embody the spirit of the festival and serve as role models for the university community.
Dr. Nancy Pascual, University President, delivered the opening remarks emphasizing the relevance of the pageant. She shared, “In this event, our contestants represent the best of their respective universities, embodying grace, poise, and cultural pride. As they take the stage, they remind us that true beauty shines brightest when paired with purpose, compassion, and a strong sense of identity.”
The panel of judges is composed of Raed Al Zghayer, Man of the World Philippines 2024; Denver Argana, Mr. Fitness Supermodel World 2024; Anita Rose Gomez, Miss Universe Philippines- Top 10 Finalist; Cianne Dominguez, TV Host, It’s Showtime; and Rodin Gilbert Flores, Founder and Head, Kagandahang Flores (KF) Beauty Camp.
The contestants competed in the official pageant attire, swimwear, Barong and Terno, and Final Question and Answer. //NMN, ABC
