Through the collaborative effort of the Office of the University Management Team for Sports Development, Campus Sports Coordinators, Faculty Association of URS (FAURS), Organization of URS Staff, and URS Morong Employee Association, the UGAMES (President’s Cup) was held on September 18 to 22 at the URS Morong Campus. The event is dedicated to all faculty and staff to strengthen camaraderie through teamwork and mutual efforts in all sports activities.
The opening program started with the welcome remarks of Dr. Xenia Canale, Director of Morong Campus followed by the rationale of the activity by Dr. Gary Ken Robles of the Sports Management Team – Operations, and the greetings from Hon. John Vincent Guillermo, President of FAURS; Ms. Blesilda Obias, President of OURSS; Mr. Jonathan Villegas, President of URSMEA; Dr. Marvin Amoin, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Marites Rio, Vice President for Research, Development, Extension, and Production; Dr. Allan Conde, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Nancy Pascual, University President; and Hon. Jose Fred Feliciano Jr., Vice Mayor of Morong, Rizal; and the recitation of the Oath of Sportsmanship by Prof. Jonathan Luris, Office of Student Development Services and all the faculty and staff who joined the sports competition.
The week-long event concluded with the closing ceremony held on September 22 at the Gymnasium, URS Morong Campus with the official announcement of the winners with their corresponding events and the campus where they come from:
