The URS-Morong Student Organization Unit (SOU), a pivotal force in the university students’ life, hosted a General Assembly and oath-taking for all accredited student organizations at the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining (EARTS). Officers from the laboratory schools, senior high school, and college departments attended the ceremonies.
Mr. Jonathan Luris, Head of the SOU and SOU Coordinator of Morong Campus, oriented the students on the rules and regulations governing student organizations and the conduct of activities. It aimed to prepare the organizations for a productive and engaging year ahead. Prof. Rosalie De Lemon, Principal of the Laboratory Schools and Senior High School, and Dr. Debbie San Jose, Coordinator of OSDS, likewise imparted inspirational words for the young leaders.
Following the orientation, representatives from all student organizations received their certification, symbolizing their official recognition. This year, 87 student organizations received accreditation: 27 from the laboratory schools and senior high school, 48 from the college departments, 6 from the Graduate School, and 6 new organizations.
The ceremonies concluded with a collective oath-taking administered by Dr. Wilma Lomangaya, Dean of the College of Science, who represented the Campus Director, Dr. Niclie Tiratira.
