In preparation for the STRASUC Olympics 2024 at Palawan State University, student-athletes participated in mental health sessions from October 10 to 15.

The “Mental Health and Emotional Support for Student-athletes” sessions focused on managing stress, building resilience, and boosting performance. These were held across training locations, including Morong, Tanay, Binangonan, and Cardona campuses. Athletes learned valuable strategies to enhance their mental well-being and develop a strong support system, preparing them for the upcoming competition.

Participants enjoyed the activities, such as relaxation techniques, which helped them manage stress and recharge mentally and physically. They were also reminded of the importance of caring for their mental health, emphasizing that well-being is key to their success on and off the field.

Mr. Jonathan Luris, a registered guidance counselor and psychometrician, and a URS faculty led the mental health sessions.
