Led by Dr. Rommel P. Sergio from Canadian University of Dubai as the guest speaker for the event, the University of Rizal System (URS) held a Professional Enhancement Forum with the theme “Challenges and Opportunities on Internalization of Research towards Empowering Extension Services and Utilization Practices” on March 28 at the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining, URS Morong Campus.

The event was attended by participants from various educational institutions in the Province of Rizal such as Blessed Hope Christian School of Tanay Inc., San Ildefonso College, Rizal Marine and Techno-computer College Inc., and Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School.
The event aimed to equip the participants with enhanced knowledge on the internalization of research and extension and improvement of their capability on producing more academic outputs.
The guest speaker, Dr. Sergio is a URS alumnus who is currently serving as an Associate Dean of Canadian University of Dubai. Along with this, Dr. Sergio also launched his second book Unbroken: Trials to Triumph.
The event which was attended by URS key officials likewise highlighted the launching of the Futures Thinking Society, URS Chapter. The Philippine Futures Thinking Society (PhilFutures) is the premier membership organization for foresight and futures thinking professionals in the country ~ RAAC
