Dr. Leo C. Rio, director for IPO, was awarded by the Bureau of Patents, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines for his invention of effective switching logic trainer board.
A research-based output called Switching Logic Trainer Board, developed and produced by Dr. Leo C. Rio, Director, Production Services, was awarded Letters Patent after years of waiting for the result of evaluation of the Bureau of Patents, IPO-Philippines.
The invention relates to a low-cost, portable and effective switching logic trainer board which can be used by education or technical training institutions that offer courses along electrical motor controls, industrial process, circuit design and lessons in electrical and electronic engineering to train their respective students in preparation to actual industrial works.
The award for the grant was given on March 29, 2021.
