Eight faculty members attended the Training Workshop on Trends in Peer Review of Scientific Publications at the MetroCentre Hotel & Convention Center, Tagbilaran City, Bohol on March 22-24. The event was sponsored by the International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors, and Reviewers (IASPER).

The attendees are the editorial board members and staff of the URS Research Journal, the official multidisciplinary peer-reviewed research journal of the University. They are Dr. Jocelyn Gagalang, editor-in-chief; Prof. Jeremy Aterrado, Dr. Jenisus Dejarlo, Dr. Jannie Manimtim, and Dr. Romeo Pati, associate editors; Dr. Niclie Tiratira, managing editor; and Prof. Arminda Campo, production assistant.
Some of the objectives of the training are to acquire competencies in peer-reviewing scientific articles and to evaluate editorial policies, editors, and journal impact as requisites for acceptance of peer-review invitations. ~AB Campo
