A total of fifty-seven (57) participants for the twenty-seven (27) qualified entries during the 16th RDEP Congress held on August 23, 2022, championed research and extension papers that remark-ably inspired a delight in realizing break-throughs not just among the individual authors or proponents but also for the people and communities with whom the researches and community projects are dedicated.
The evolving and increasing number of faculty members who are actively engaged in the conduct of research and extension projects significantly implies the growing populace also of those who are now serving their significant share in serving both the mission and the mandate of the University. With the presentation of 18 research and 9 extension papers during the 16th RDEP Congress via Zoom conferencing platform, the University is no doubt making a way to bridge better breakthroughs for the benefit of various stakeholders of the University. Dr. Niclie L. Tiratira, Director for Research Development, and Dr. Fe Esperanza T. Mateo, Director for Extension sincerely commend the efforts of all the presenters/ participants whom they call “the RDEP Champions”. President Nancy T. Pascual and VP Marites M. Rio lauded the successful conduct of the event with the truly impressive facilitation and performance of the assigned Technical Working Group and the support of collaborators and expert evaluators from different state universities all over the Philippines.
Indeed, the hurdle may not be easy for both the faculty researchers and ex-tension project implementers but because of the coordinated and united efforts of the RDEP prime movers, the set endeavors as evidenced by the documentary pictures continually inspire more people in the academe to take a step and serve their share in the development of worth-while projects in the name of Research and Development and Extension Services. Kudos to all the researchers and program and project implementers and part-takers!
