Priming on the pipeline of opportunities to be of service, the Food Analytical and Research Services Laboratory through the dedicated leadership of Prof. Eugene SF. Tia, Head, FARSL, set and accomplished targets for 2022. He is assisted by Mr. Eduardo Gatchalian and Ms. Therence Olvida in the provision of the varying services of the laboratory among the internal and external stakeholders.
Considering the compliance to a set of requirements and the developed and enhanced facilities of FARSL, it has already been issued a Certificate of Accreditation by the Department of Health with validity from November 7, 2022-31 to December 2024. FARSL takes pride that their services are now more inviting, facilitating, and worth commending for the support of the various stakeholders of the University.
Also, the Department of Trade and Industry has awarded the Certificate of Ownership of the FARSL to URS. The event was graced by Pres. Nancy T. Pascual, VP Marites M. Rio, Prof. Eugene SF. Tia, Mr. Eduardo Gtachalian and the DTI Region 4 and DTI Rizal Champions.
