The University of Rizal System (URS) administration, represented by its president, Dr. Marita Canapi; and the Faculty Organization of URS, (FOURS) represented by its president, Prof. Danilo Esquibel, signed the Collective Negotiation Agreement for and between the two of them at the URS – Morong Function Hall, on July 27.
The agreement is in consonance with the right of government workers to form unions and to engage in collective negotiations as basically stated in the Philippine Constitution. The agreement gives provisions on union recognition, representation, rights and privileges, shared responsibility between the Union and the University, security, grievance machinery and dispute resolution, educational and professional development, occupational health and safety, work load and schedules, CNA incentive, cost saving measures and other benefits and privileges.
