The URS Board of Regents approved during its 74th Hybrid Regular Meeting last June 20, 2022 the University Research Agenda dubbed as HANDA which coins and frames the major thrusts in which researches to be proposed, evaluated, approved and implemented in the University will be directed in support to the National and Regional Research Agenda.
URS HANDA was structured in distinct consideration of the flagship program of each campus and was developed in detail after series of due consultation with all the Campus Heads for Research and Development as well as faculty researchers from the ten (10) campuses of the University. As a result, the figure below maps out the specific concept of what URS HANDA offers.
On the same BOR meeting, the Extension Thrusts and Priorities from 2021-2025 was also commended and approved together with the Revised Operations Manual for Research and Development and Extension Services with BOR Resolution No. 21 and 23, s.6- 2022.

Rio, Vice-President for RDEP sincerely appreciated and thanked President Nancy T. Pascual, the EXECOM and the ADCOM for the kind support and endorsement and to the Board of Regents for the approval. The issuance of Implementation Order Numbers 20 and 22, series of 2022 signals a new beginning where a roadmap toward greater height of productivity in terms of research and development and extension service is opened for support and collaboration of all concerned stakeholders.
