The University of Rizal System (URS) Office of Public Affairs (OPA) thru the Alumni Affairs held a webinar entitled: “Webinar on Strengthening the Role of Alumni and Students in the Promotion of University Advocacies, Linkage Development and Delivery of Services” on September 25.
The webinar aimed to motivate and encourage alumni and students to serve as channels in the promotion of University-based advocacies for the enhancement of the institution’s public image and to capacitate alumni and students on many ways on how they can be of service to the University.
Dr. Marites Rio, Vice President for Research Development, Extension and Production; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Allan E. Conde; and, Dr. Nancy Pascual, University President, gave inspirational messages prior to the talks of the guest speakers.
Resource speakers were Prof. Ernan de Jesus, Head of University Alumni Affairs, URS; Hon. Derek L. Chua, Student Regent to the Board of Regents (BOR); Mr. John Carlo Borja, an alumnus of URS – Binangonan (URSB); Prof. Jonas Ynares, Head for Local Linkages, URS; and Engr. Jose Calmada, Alumni Regent, URS BOR.
The seminar ended with the closing remarks from Dr. Reneecilia B. Paz de Leon, Director, OPA, URS.
