The University of Rizal System (URS) is proud to be conferred with the Internationalization Champions of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as it placed the University in the Times Higher Education 2025 Rankings.
The ICONS Awards of CHED celebrate the Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for their role in championing the Philippine higher education sector on the international stage. It continues to recognize the exemplary performance of Philippine HEIs as their presence grows in renowned international ranking tables. This ceremony is a vital avenue for acknowledging the high-impact initiatives of Philippine HEIs toward sustainability, ASEAN awareness, and internationalization, along with the leaders whose vision transformed these goals into concrete achievements and milestones.
Dr. Nancy Pascual, President, received the award at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, on December 10. ~
