The URS Intellectual Property Innovation and Technology Support Hub (IPITSH) received the Bronze Award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) at the Sequoia Hotel, Manila Bay, Manila on April 10.
The event was attended by Dr. Nancy Pascual, URS President; Dr. Leo Rio, dean of the Graduate School of Education and former head of IPITSH; Prof. Jerry Esperanza, Head of IPITSH; Ms. Day Cabugawan, executive secretary; and Ms. Danica Robles, staff member of IPITSH.
The ITSO (Intellectual Technology Support Office) Bronze Award is given by IPOPHL to institutions that show significant efforts in intellectual property (IP) education, awareness, and activities. This award recognizes institutions for conducting IP awareness programs, undertaking patent searches, and providing patent drafting services. To qualify for the Bronze Award, an institution must meet the following requirements: conduct a minimum of 12 IP awareness activities, hold 2 patent search training sessions, offer 1 patent drafting course, and comply with IP-related outputs and activities. ~ DARobles
