391 URSP Student-Interns deployed for OJT

Three hundred ninety-one student-interns from the University of Rizal System Pililla Campus (URSP) officially started their On-the-Job training (OJT) between mid-January and the first week of February, to gain hands-on and valuable experiences in various fields. 

The College of Education, headed by its dean, Dr. Julieta Fulgado endorsed 110 interns, including 38 Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) major in English under the supervision of Prof. Mary Jean Paz, 33 BSE major in Social Studies, under Prof. Jonathan Belarmino, and 39 Bachelor of Elementary Education students, with Dr. Elenita Patena.

BSE interns were deployed in secondary high schools in Tanay and Pililla, including Pililla Integrated National High School, Quisao Integrated National High School, Malaya Integrated National High School, Marciana P. Catolos National High School, and Tanay National High School. Meanwhile, BEEd interns were deployed at Malaya Elementary School, Niogan Elementary School, Quisao Elementary School, Pililla Elementary School-Central, Virgilio B. Melendres Memorial Elementary School, and Simeon R. Bendana Sr. Memorial Elementary School. 

On the other hand, the College of Business, under the leadership of Dean Loida Masinsin has 168 trainees: 47 are from Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA FM), supervised by Prof. Rivaolimae Calmada; 46 BSBA major in Marketing Management under Prof. Aries Anievas; 36 BSBA major in Human Resource Management, under Prof. Jayson  Lozano; and 39 Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) supervised by Prof. Marites  Bulawan. 

In addition, BSOA students started their OJT at Local Government Unit (LGU) Jalajala, Office of Congressman Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III, Greensolutions, Iconeville Construction and Development, Santibay Sales and Marketing and Services Inc., Ahome Realty Development, MP Bernados Accounting, and Real Estate Services, Marika Valley-San Mateo Bank, Crowne Pacer Development Corporation, and Jalajala Elementary School. The Host Training Establishments (HTEs) for BSBA HRM include Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc., Land Transportation Office (Tanay), Tanay Water District, LGU Pililla, Jalajala National High School, Rizal Provincial Hospital Employees and Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (RPHECMPC), Belgrove Power Corp., and Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative. BSBA MM’s HTEs are Ahome Realty, Brayden Trading, Convex Conveyor, Dream Events, GL Packaging, J&J Development Inc., Jujiang Industrial Machinery Trading, KServico Trade Inc., MRL Real Estate Marketing, Super Bikes Center, SG Dermatology and Surgical Aesthetics, and Tierra East Realty Development. 

Meanwhile, BSBA MM students were deployed at Abubot Lending Corporation, Bangko Mabuhay, Bernados Accounting And Real Estate Services-Tanay, Country Builders Morong, DAR-Tanay, E. Soriano-Calios & Associates Accounting Services, EEI Employees Development Cooperative, Fundline Finance Corporation, Global Dominion Financing Inc., Innovative Bank Inc., Morong Kabalikat Multi-purpose Cooperative, Morong Retailers and Community Multi-purpose Cooperative, MVSM Bank, LGU Pililla, Sta. Ana Accounting and Taxation Consultancy, Tanay Markey Vendors and Community Multi-purpose Cooperative, Tanay Rural Bank, Tibay Tax and Accounting Services, Tricoh Accounting Services, Brilliant Skin Essentials, Inc., Cardona Multi-purpose Cooperative, Mount Carmel Rural Ban Inc., NFF Industrial Corporation, Padilla Reefervan Corporation, Rural Bank of Apalit, Inc., Rizal Provincial Hospitals’ Employees Multi-purpose Cooperative, and Zap Bookkeeping & Accounting Services. 

Furthermore, the College of Social Sciences headed by the dean, Dr. Maria Salome Desoloc, deployed 113 interns. The Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies (AB ELS), supervised by Dr. Jocelyn Gagalang, has 43; the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (BA Pos) under Dr. Medardo Bombita has 39, and the Bachelor of Science in Psychology, handled by Prof. Maria Aira Portia  Catolos has 31. 

The BA Pos students were deployed at Pagibig Fund Tanay, City Government of Antipolo-Legal Office, Philippine National Police (Tanay, Cardona Morong), Bureau of Fire Protection (Tanay, Jalajala, Teresa, Baras) Land Transportation Office (Morong & Tanay) and Department of Internal Local Government (Rizal & MIMAROPA). AB ELS interns were deployed in various offices including the Bureau of Fisheries and Agrarian Reform-Tanay, Tanay National High School, LTO Tanay, Atty. Mara Estrella’s Law Office, St. Michael Parochial School, Antipolo City Hall, and several units in URS Pililla and Morong Campuses. BS Psychology students started their OJT in industrial and clinical industries namely Topserve Service Solutions, Inc., Brink’s Philippines Inc., Brilliant Skin Essentials, Villa Herzon, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pililla, LGU Tanay, Richklin Resource Management Inc., Tanay Water District, and Tao Foods Company Inc.
