The Office of Public Affairs conducted the second day of the Training on Website Content Development on November 13 at URS Morong.
Prof. Arminda Campo, Head of Publication and Media Services, discussed Editing and Headline Writing in the age of artificial intelligence.
She emphasized that human involvement is essential even though people use AI, and that they should not heavily rely on it.
Prof. Campo also facilitated the workshop where participants generated content using AI tools, then reviewed and finalized it to make it more human-like.
On the other hand, Dr. Norberto Nataño, Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning, discussed strategic communication for office units.
He emphasized that, for branding purposes, there should be consistent use of official and common templates and that proper coordination should be in place before public posting to avoid inaccuracies and misinformation.
Dr. Nataño then facilitated a workshop in which participants revised their selected recent articles following the guidelines he had discussed.
URS officials graced this event: Mr. Jerwin Patangui, University HRMO Head, who represented Dr. Marvin Amoin, VP for Administration and Finance; and Ms. Blessilda Obias, Head of the Records Office, who delivered the message of Dir. Rennie Mae De Lemon, Director of Administrative Services.
