The University of Rizal System representatives attended the 36th Association of Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) Annual Conference and General Assembly on March 27-29 at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.

The delegation was led by Dr. Allan Conde, Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with Dr. Gary Ken Robles, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, Ms. Charmaine Villarin, head of Program Accreditation, Recognition, and Certification (PARC), and Dr. Ronnie Parica, dean of the Graduate School, URS-Pililla.
With the theme “Strengthening a Culture of Quality Assurance in Higher Education through Partnerships in Accreditation,” the conference tackled the mechanism of strengthening a culture of quality assurance in higher education, strategizing approaches to sustain accreditation of programs and institutions, enhancing national and international partnership and linkages in quality assurance and accreditation, and structuring quality assurance systems from internalization to internationalization in higher education.
The conference ended with the election of the new AACCUP Board of Trustees for 2023-2026. // ~ CB Villarin
