The URS- Intellectual Property Office and Project 1C.Enhancing the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management in URS in collaboration with URS Campuses spearheaded the webinar series titled “BUILDING AWARENESS ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AND REGISTRATION”. The activity aimed to provide participants with the necessary information about intellectual property rights and how to register their respective IPs following the IPOPHIL and National Library of the Philippines’ registration processes.
Dr. Leo C. Rio, Head of the URS IPO and Director of Production Services served as the resource expert speaker wihile Ms. Danica B. Robles, Staff, IPO also shed light in the procedural methods in filing application for registration.
The run of the Webinar Series was pioneered in URS Morong Campus last March 21, 2023 and was closely followed by the URS Cardona campus on March 22, URS Taytay, Cainta and Rodriguez Campuses on the 27th, 28th and 29th of March, 2023 and URS Tanay Campus last April 13, 2023.
The activity was attended and actively participated by student-researchers and research instructors from the six campuses having a total number of 742 participants.
They also took the pre-test and post-test to determine their knowledge with regards to intellectual property rights. Those who scored 70 % above were given a Certificate of Participation while those who got 69% below were issued a Certificate of Attendance.
