CLL, GAD Center Signed MOA with NCIP-CALABARZON in IP-Related Projects

The URS Center for Lifelong Learning and NCIP Region IV-A recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on April 4, 2023, to implement IP-related projects under the community project IP CommunitY Awareness, Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (YAKAP): Serye ng Talakayang GAD, April 4, AVEC Room, URS Morong Campus.

The signing of the MOA between URS Center for Lifelong Learning and NCIP signifies a commitment to the promotion of IP-related projects in the region.

The partnership between URS and NCIP Region IV-A aims to promote gender and development (GAD) initiatives among the IP communities through various activities and projects. This collaboration is a significant step towards strengthening IP rights and advocating for their welfare and development.

The MOA signing was attended by 6 personnel from the NCIP Regional and Provincial Office, including Dr. Carlos P. Buasen, Jr., CESO III, regional director, and Eddielito J. Sumangil, CDO III, NCIP-Rizal.

The program included an opening ceremony with a prayer, the National Anthem, and the University Hymn. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Danilo M. Pascual, Campus Director of URS Antipolo, followed by the rationale of the IP-related projects presented by Norberto M. Natano, YAKAP Lead Proponent. Dr. Carlos P. Buasen, Jr., CESO III, the Regional Director of NCIP, Region IV-A (CALABARZON), also gave a message during the event.

Dr. Marites M. Rio, the VP for RDEP, and Dr. Nancy T. Pascual, the University President of URS, gave messages of commitment. The MOA was signed by URS officials and partners, and the program ended with closing remarks from Dr. Wilhelmina P. Masinsin, Head of the URS GAD Center and Co-proponent of YAKAP. Prof. Maria Cecilia R. Villegas served as the Lady of the Ceremony.
