Faculty , Studes Cop 33rd PSA Stat Tilt | URS Named Best School

The University of Rizal System (URS) bagged multiple awards in the competitions that were a part of the 33rd National Statistics Month Celebration organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority –  CALABARZON (PSA-CALABARZON) in October.

PSA-CALABARZON awarded URS the PSA’s Best Academic Institution to recognize the University’s excellence in various competitions and events that were spearheaded by PSA-CALABARZON.

URS students dominated the Regional Statistics Competition with Kim Bryan Ricardo, Sherica Ramos, Matt Scienzhe Pacaña and Kyte Daniel Ventura winning second, third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively as. Regional Qualifiers. Dr. Paula Cristin Jade Peñaranda, Prof. Aldrin Boca, Prof. Carina Pereira and Engr. Lean Jo Anievas served as their coach.

The regional competition was held to select which student will represent PSA-CALABARZON in the national statistics competition.

Prof. Renato Allen Casas, Jr., URS professor, also won 2nd place in the 2nd PSA Quiz Bee. PSA celebrated the 33rd National Statistics Month with the theme “Boosting the Country’s Recovery with Informed Decisions, Better Policies.” In addition, PSA also held various webinars to raise awareness of the importance of statistics. ~ RAAC
