To recognize the efforts of URS faculty and staff in engaging in research and delivering extension services to the community, the winners in the 18th RDEP Congress were awarded in the 19th URS PRAISE at the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining, URS-Morong.
The 18th University RDEP Congress was held last August 27 via Zoom platform, which featured presentations of research and extension services delivered by project implementers. It is divided into two main categories, research and extension, which are further subdivided into three overall sub-categories: descriptive research, developmental and experimental research, and best extension paper.
For the Descriptive Research category, Prof. Jose Elveña Jr. (Rodriguez Campus) and his study Forecasting Solid Waste of Rodriguez, Rizal: An Input to Municipality’s Solid Waste Management won First Place, followed by Dr. Niclie Tiratira, Dr. Nancy Pascual, Dr. Marites Rio, and Prof. Jeremy Aterrado with their study Project: Violence Against Women Psychosocial Intervention Program Study 1: LGU Social Services on Violence Against Women: Utilization of the CIPP Model on the Second Place, and Dr. Armando Vale (Antipolo City Campus) with his study Program Evaluation Utilizing Kirkpatrick’s Model on the Third Place.
In the Developmental and Experimental Research category, Dr. Jenisus Dejarlo (Morong Campus) won First Place with his study Development, Validation and Effectiveness of Worktext in Plane and Solid Geometry, Prof. Joyce Lyn Abaoag (Binangonan Campus) won Second Place with her study Development and Validation of Interactive Courseware in Statistics with Computer Application, and Dr. Gilda Romano (Antipolo City Campus) won Third Place with the study Utilization and Acceptability of Trichantera Gigantea Leaves as Alternative Ingredients in Making Laing (Taro Leaves).
In the Extension Paper category, Dr. Norberto Nataño and Dr. Wilhelmina Masinsin (Antipolo City & Morong Campuses) won First Place with their paper IP Community Awareness, Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (YAKAP): Serye ng Talakayang GAD, followed by Dr. Jocelyn Gagalang and Dr. Mark Ray Sioson (Pililla Campus) with the paper Advocacy on Communication Enhancement & Gender and Development (ACEGAD) Literacy Training Program on the Second Place, and Prof. Irene Feliciano, Dr. Juan Abarro, Dr. Wilfredo Mariño, Dr. Armando Vale, Prof. Billy Berdan, Dr. Norberto Nataño, Prof. Russell May San Diego, Prof. Melvin Marcelo, Dr. Gilda Romano, Prof. Donna Marie Dela Vega, Engr. Juan Paulo Jurada, Engr. Allen Jake Discaya, Engr. John Dennis Espiritu, Prof. Salve Oandasan, Prof. Eloisa Bayangos, Prof. Marck Ferdinand Aguilar, Prof. Hernan Garado, Prof. Regine Urbano, Ms. Sheila Raguine, Dr. Danilo Pascual (Antipolo City Campus) with the paper FLAP 4K: Katuwang at Kaagapay sa Kalinangan para sa Komunidad (Flexible Learning Assistance Program – Phase 4) on the Third Place.
