To recognize the efforts of URS faculty and staff in engaging in research and delivering extension services to the community, the winners in the 17th RDEP Congress will be awarded in the upcoming PRAISE at the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining, URS-Morong.
The 17th RDEP Congress was held last August 30 via Zoom which featured presentations of research and extension services delivered by URS. It is divided into two main categories, research category, and extension category, which are further subdivided into five overall sub-categories – research e-poster, descriptive research, experimental research, extension e-poster, and extension paper.
For the Research e-poster category, Prof. Cyrene T. Navalta and Prof. Edwin S. Navalta of Tanay Campus bagged First Place with their e-poster titled Inventory of Bryophytes and Pteridophytes in the University of Rizal System Tanay Campus while Dr. Jannie SJ. Manimtim of Morong Campus won Second Place with her e-poster on Toward Inclusive Education: Establishing Relationship between Pre-Service Teachers’ Self-Efficacy and Their Multidimensional Attitude and finally, Dr. Floricel V. Ulat of Binangonan Campus got Third Place with her e-poster titled Mathematical Models for Predicting Success in Pre-board and Qualifying Examinations for Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Students.
In the Descriptive Research category, Dr. Jannie SJ. Manimtim and her study Toward Inclusive Education: Establishing Relationship between Pre-Service Teachers’ Self-Efficacy and Their Multidimensional Attitude won First Place followed by Prof. Jeffrey M. Azor and Dr. Joanne S. Concepcion from Binangonan Campus with their study Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Strategies of the Food and Beverage Industry in the Province of Rizal: A Modeling Study for Business Resilience in Times of Pandemic for Second Place and on Third Place were Dr. Jannie SJ. Manimtim and Dr. Rosa F. Portillo of Morong Campus for the study Demonstration Teaching Vis-a-Vis Practice Teaching: An Evaluation of Students Interns’ Performance.
The Experimental Research category saw Dr. Rina C. Antazo, Dr. Ma. Teresa DJ. Alejandro and Dr. Anette B. Pascual of Morong Campus secured First Place with their study Utilization of Sesbania Cannabina Retz. (Pres.) in Cakes and Pastries while Dr. Francisco B. Culibrina also of Morong Campus won Second Place with his study Effects of Acoustic Energy into Cold Molecules on Air.
For the Extension e-poster category, LINGAP URSA by Prof. Anniversary M. Balbuena, Dr. Norma F. Elviña, Prof. Celina B. Cerda, Prof. Dorcas S. Macapagal, Prof. Mary Jane A. De Andres, Prof. Aireen M. Mora, and Prof. Gian Paolo S. Francisco of Angono Campus bagged First Place while Prof. Loida T. Masinsin, Dr. Joanne S. Concepcion, Prof. Maricel V. Maniaol, Prof. Ruff Jon Florendo, Dr. Mark Ray P. Sioson, Dr. Reneceelia B. Paz De Leon, Dr. Ariel M. Plantilla, Prof. Jeffrey M. Azor, Prof. Rivaolimae S. Calmada, Dr. Eden C. Santos, Prof. Jayson B. Lozano, Prof. Grenelita B. Felipe, Prof. Ma. Cecilia L. Santos, Prof. Rosechel R. Corral, Prof. Magdalena M. Vidanes, Prof. Ernie D. Tano, Prof. Nery T. Vivas, Prof. Myra M. Salindong, Dr. Monina G. Olano, Prof. Jonas D. Ynares, Prof. Rogelio C. Anselmo, Prof. Sam Cedrick H. Calites, Prof. Jennelyn G. Mercado, Prof. Aries B. Anievas, Prof. Hector R. Rubiales, Prof. Marites P. Bulawan, Prof. Olivia R. Cababat, Prof. Jose P. Calmada, and Prof. Nora D. Ramos won second with the e-poster for the extension project URS: Advocate of BalikaBayanihan Campaign (URS: ABC) Phase 1.
Finally, in the Extension Paper category, Prof. Owen T. Escuadra, Prof. Baby Eunice M. Cabaltera, Prof. Richelle E. Go, Dr. Eden C. Santos, Prof. Yves Xavier S. Candelaria, Prof. Neil Richard S. Colada, and Prof. Mark Anthony M. Zamora of Binangonan Campus won First Place with their extension paper titled Webinar-Workshop in Google Workspace for Small-Medium Entrepreneurs (SMES) followed in Second Place by the paper of the LINGAP URSA group of Angono Campus while the paper for the extension project URS: Advocate of BalikaBayanihan Campaign (URS: ABC) Phase 1 won Third. // RAAC
