URSB Marks 27 Years of Excellence, Resilience, and Service

The University of Rizal System – Binangonan Campus (URSB) commemorated its 27th Founding Anniversary on September 11, 2025, through a series of meaningful activities that reflected its enduring commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. The celebration brought together university officials, faculty members, students, alumni, and partner stakeholders in a shared moment of gratitude and reflection on the institution’s continued growth.

The anniversary observance formally began with a Thanksgiving Mass, expressing collective appreciation for the milestones and achievements attained over the years. This was followed by the blessing of the newly renovated URSB Canteen, led by Fr. Mowie Villamayor, symbolizing the University’s dedication to improving campus facilities and enhancing student welfare. A well-organized opening program set the tone for the celebration, highlighting URSB’s vision of progress grounded in service and resilience.

The event was graced by distinguished university officials, led by University President Dr. Nancy Pascual, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Allan Conde, and Campus Director Dr. Joanne Concepcion. Adding inspiration to the occasion was the keynote address delivered by Mr. Michael Adrian Borja, Training and Development Manager of Panasonic Philippines, who emphasized the value of innovation, adaptability, and lifelong learning in shaping future-ready professionals.

Strengthening the spirit of partnership and local collaboration, the celebration was also honored by the presence of Municipal Councilor Engr. Bienvenido Ojeda, Municipal Councilor Coco Antiporda, and Municipal Councilor Jane Apostadero, who represented Mayor Hon. Rhea Ynares and Vice Mayor Hon. Russel Guiller Ynares. Their participation reaffirmed the strong ties between the University and the local government in advancing education and community development.

The anniversary activities continued with the Opening of the Innovation and Sustainability Expo, showcasing student creativity and forward-thinking solutions, alongside an Earthquake Drill that emphasized campus safety and disaster preparedness. The Student Leaders’ Oath-Taking Ceremony further highlighted the University’s commitment to leadership development, while the Students’ Night, or Acquaintance Party, fostered camaraderie, unity, and school spirit among the URSB community.
