Students and faculty from the University of Rizal System (URS) Antipolo City Campus Tourism Management program soared to the top in the rigorous Flight Attendant Operations Procedure (FAOP) training at PTC Aviation Training Center, January 19 to February 4, 2026, outperforming peers from major Philippine universities.
In Batch 26-03, URSAC dominated the honors, claiming Class Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Class Purser titles. Sofia Ella Marie Ibañez was named as Valedictorian, also earning awards for Customer Service and Best Team. Eldridge Joseph Zara followed as Salutatorian, securing the Customer Service Award and Class Purser role.
Other standout completers included Shakira Atejerra, Khazel Antonette Avila, Raiza Mae Yelomino, and Princess Hillary Olayvar, recognized for excellence in Customer Service and Situational Awareness. URSAC Tourism Program Head Prof. Russell May San Diego also completed the training.
The achievement was made possible through the generosity of Mr. Joey Pacheco, founder of JCP Seminar and Training Consultancy and a renowned corporate training expert. He sponsored free tuition and allowances for the URSAC group, removing barriers to this elite program.
“I am deeply thankful to our sponsor and incredibly proud of our students,” said Prof. San Diego. “This milestone highlights our dedication to hands-on excellence in aviation and hospitality.”
Delegations from top Philippine universities participated, yet URSAC’s skills took center stage. Participants expressed gratitude not only to Pacheco but also to PTC Aviation Training Center, the Philippines’ premier aviation school for flight attendant and related roles.
