The University of Rizal System (URS) had procured comprehensive Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage for 693 faculty and staff members. The initiative listed down as 378 members newly enrolled for chosen HMO, 293 members subscribed on a cash basis, and 22 transitioning from existing HMO plans.
The move addresses rising healthcare needs for URS faculty and non-teaching personnel across campuses, emphasizing the program’s role in enhancing well-being, preventive care, and financial security, with benefits including hospitalization, consultations, and emergency services.
The HMO budget allocation and allocation utilization came from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s healthcare benefits program for government employees.
