The Maroon Lakers Student Health Council (MLSHC), a student-led organization guided by the expertise and supervision of two dedicated campus nurses, successfully launched its first-ever Zumba collaboration with the URSB Danz Company (DANZCO) entitled “Mag-Zumba Tayo! Alay sa Kalusugan, Sagot sa Pagiging Aktibo.” The initiative highlighted a shared commitment to promoting holistic health, wellness, and an active lifestyle within the University of Rizal System Binangonan Campus community.

Conducted at the URSB Grounds every Thursday at 4:30 PM, the Zumba sessions transformed the campus into a dynamic space filled with movement, rhythm, and collective energy. Students, faculty, and staff actively participated in the activity, fostering an environment that seamlessly blended physical fitness with fellowship and community engagement. Beyond being a form of exercise, the collaboration served as a wellness-centered gathering that encouraged stress relief, social connection, and positive lifestyle habits.

With guidance from the campus nurses, MLSHC ensured that the program adhered to proper health protocols and safety considerations, reinforcing the importance of responsible and sustainable fitness initiatives. The involvement of DANZCO further enriched the sessions, as creative choreography and expressive movement inspired participants to embrace physical activity with confidence and enthusiasm.

This inaugural Zumba collaboration marked a meaningful step in strengthening unity, resilience, and a positive campus culture through movement and wellness. It underscored the University’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a supportive and health-conscious academic environment, one where well-being, creativity, and community advance together.
