The new set of FOURS officers was officially declared winners immediately after the casting of votes concluded.

The Faculty Organization of URS (FOURS) of the University of Rizal System is a significant development in the faculty governance of the university, having elected a new set of officers on January 29, 2026, as it honored the outgoing officers in a send-off event with the theme “Celebration of Service, Tribute to Leadership” on January 27.

FOURS Elects New Officers

Following the Faculty Organization of URS (FOURS) Election held on January 29, 2026, it exhibited a strong participation from faculty members across the university. The succeeding officers emerged as winners:

President: Armando Vale – 240 votes
Vice President: Billy Ines – 246 votes
Secretary: Malvin Mendones – 265 votes
Treasurer: Yvette Garrovillas – 240 votes
Auditor: Susan Cadiente – 412 votes
Business Manager: Eusebio Oliva Jr. – 228 votes
PRO: Jose Calmada Jr. – 249 votes

The university extended its congratulations to the newly elected leaders and expressed gratitude to all candidates for their willingness to serve, as well as to every faculty member who participated. The high turnout and close tallies signaled strong engagement and support for shared leadership within the faculty community.

Celebration of Service and Tribute to Leadership

Ahead of the elections, on January 27, 2026, the University of Rizal System Morong (URSM) Campus droned with pride and camaraderie as FOURS held a send-off program for its incumbent leaders. The event, themed “FOURS: Celebration of Service, Tribute to Leadership,” took place at the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Tanghalang Sining (EARTS).

The program opened with a welcome message from Dr. Niclie Tiratira, Campus Director of URSM, who underscored the vital role of FOURS in promoting excellence and service within the university. This was followed by messages of gratitude from key Vice Presidents: Dr. Allan Conde, VP for Academic Affairs; Dr. Marvin Amoin, VP for Admin and Finance; and Dr. Marites Rio, VP for Research, Development, Extension, and Production. They each highlighted FOURS’ unwavering commitment and recounted collaborative initiatives that helped elevate the standards of URS.

A major highlight of the program was the Individual Recognition and Awards segment, where outstanding faculty-leaders were honored for exemplary service and initiatives that strengthened faculty engagement and institutional development.

URS President Lauds FOURS as “Backbone”

In her keynote address, Dr. Nancy Pascual, President of the University of Rizal System, described FOURS as the “backbone of our institution.” She called on faculty members to sustain their commitment to transformative education, particularly in the face of the evolving challenges in higher learning, and emphasized the importance of unity, leadership, and innovation.

FOURS President John Vincent Guillermo delivered an appreciation speech, expressing thanks to the university leadership and reaffirming the organization’s dedication to future programs and partnerships. FOURS Vice President Reymily Rose R. Sta. Ana closed the program by calling for continued unity, active participation, and service among faculty members.

The event was attended by faculty, administrators, and university leaders. It concluded with a group photo capturing the joyful gathering, followed by fellowship snacks that provided time for informal networking and celebration.
