URS Tanay’s Dr. Ulat Wins Best Oral Presentation at SIRC

Singapore via Zoom– The University of Rizal System (URS) Tanay Campus researchers, under the supervision of Dr. Floricel Ulat, made a notable achievement in the 8th Seirei International Research Conference (SIRC2026), held on March 2-3, 2026, through Zoom virtually from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and Seirei Christopher University (SCU), as Dr. Ulat won the award for Best Oral Presentation under her research study “Fractal Dimension Analysis of Academic Performance and Pre-Board Examination Results: A Case Study of Teacher Education Students in a State University in the Philippines,” showcasing URS’s notable contributions to various fields such as education and social research.

URS Tanay delegation offered a variety of research works authored by Prof. Ma. Clarita N. Inofre, with her research “MATH TOGETHER: A Developed Supplementary Learning Materials in Geometry for Grade 8 Learners” and Prof. Erwin Peralta on “Development of Math Model.”

Meanwhile, Prof. Cedrich Amoin, Prof. Pearl Llona, Prof. Teodoro Catuira, and Prof. Reuben Cainong served as advisers of the student-presenters. Importantly, students from the BEEd fourth year student group, seven 4th year BSEd Math, and three 4th year BS Psychology proudly presented and shared their research works.

Essentially, URS Tanay Essentially, presented standout papers like “Silent Strength: Societal Expectations on Selected Firstborn COSE Students as Emotional Pillars” by Leslie Christine Miranda et al.; “Virtual Study Buddies: A Psychological Exploration on College Students’ Interaction with Artificial Intelligence” by Jerome Anda et al., and O30 “Navigating Calculator Complexity in Solving Higher Order Thinking Skills Problems in Trigonometry” by Laila Alao et al., with Dr. Ulat co-authoring multiple entries, including mathematical modeling and culturally tailored math tools like “Yak-Aymatic.”

Dr. Ulat’s win highlights Filipino Dr. innovations in global contexts, together with the contributions from faculty and students.
