Enhancing the quality of life through Science, Technology, and Innovation is one of today’s SUC premier role. With this thing in mind, VP Marites M. Rio of RDEP and Dir. Fe Esperanza T. Mateo of Extension Services unit attended and participated in SANDIWA: A Meeting of Minds for the Identification of STI Foresights Indicators last September 20-21, 2023 at Acacia Hotel, Manila.
The event highlighted the challenge for institutions from various sectors to serve their part toward plausible science, technology, and innovation development paths that are laid out in PAGTANAW 2050’s STI Roadmap which serves as a guide to national development that traces the trajectories of the enablers, drivers and opportunities that are seen to shape the Philippine STI for the next three (3) decades. PAGTANAW 2050 is understood to chart a strategic path by anticipating the factors that will influence the development of the Philippines’ scientific capital onwards to 2050.
