To ensure that URS services constantly meet stakeholders’ requirements and that quality is consistently improved, the University adopted the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards required for quality management system in the provision of tertiary education and the conduct of research and extension activities for the Province of Rizal.
In this regard, the University underwent the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Certification Audits from the TUV Rheinland Philippines on October 9, 2018 and December 11, 2018, respectively.
A Certification Audit is the first step for those organizations that have decided to undergo an assessment process with a Certification Body (CB) or Registrar to determine if their management system complies with the requirements of a given standard such as the ISO 9001. This Certification Audit is divided into two stages: Stage 1 Audits and Stage 2 Audits. The objective of a Stage 1 Audit is to determine an organization’s readiness for their Stage 2 Certification Audit. The Stage 2 Audit evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of the organization’s management system(s).
