Building a Legacy: A Sneak Peek at the Ongoing URSP Alumni Hall Construction

There is truly no place like home! But for URSP Alumni, they have their own!
Construction is officially underway for a new two-story multipurpose building inside the University of Rizal System Pililla (URSP) campus. The project, which started in January 2026, was made possible through the proactive initiative of the URS Pililla Alumni Association Inc., led by its president, Hon. Dindo M. Abueg.
The dream turned into reality with the full backing and funding of the Rizal Provincial Government under the leadership of Hon. Nina Ricci Ynares, Provincial Governor. The endeavor also enjoys the strong support of URSP Campus Director Dr. Ariel M. Plantilla and University President Dr. Nancy T. Pascual.
The project dates back to February 2024, when Hon. Abueg formally requested funding from the provincial government, backed by Alumni Resolution No. 002 (Series of 2024). The vision was clear: to establish a dedicated space to foster lifelong alumni engagement and activities.
Once completed, the Alumni Hall will serve as a hub for various alumni events and will house the official office of the URS Pililla Alumni Association. It will also feature a dedicated lounge where returning alumni can relax while waiting for their campus transactions. Ultimately, the hall provides a permanent physical space for alumni to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the growth of the university community.
Strategically located behind the Office of the Student Development Center and near the Administration Building, the URSP Alumni Hall is on track for completion by the third quarter of this year. (Written by: Mark Ray Sioson / Photos by: Marc Gienel Jalimbawa)
