Project OCOP, Panalo Caravan Support University Production

The Production Services Unit of RDEP under the headship of Dr. Leo Rio recently proposed two projects to augment URS production. These are the One-Campus-One-Product (OCOP) project and the URS Panalo Caravan.

The OCOP project aims to establish and implement small and medium enterprises to produce, promote, and market distinct product on each campus of the University. OCOP will adopt the idea of OTOP-Phils. which is a program of the government that promotes entrepreneurship among Filipinos. Along with the same context, OCOP will be institutionalized for each campus to jumpstart the formulation, development, promotion, and marketing of the campus’ signature product.  To start, the Production Services Unit pioneered a Webinar on Feasibility Study Writing last August 20 to assist the production heads in the development of their business proposals as complemented by their feasibility study targets.

Meanwhile, products which the campuses of URS have started to develop are being showcased during the URS Panalo Caravan. With this caravan, faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders are being offered customer-friendly priced product packages.

The URS Panalo Caravan has started its campus to campus display and marketing in URS-Morong and Binangonan campuses and is tentatively scheduled every third Friday of the month heading to the rest of the campuses. A Facebook page is created and e-posters were designed to give information and promote product packages included in the caravans.
