Student Admission
Graduates of high schools may be admitted on the following basis:
Students desiring to enroll in the College Department should pass the College Admission Test and Interview Holders of Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) certificates are eligible for admission to college provided that he/she should pass the College Admission Test and undergo Career Counseling
Evaluation of applicants shall be rated as follows:
60% - CAT
30% - Interview
10% - High School General Average
Interview of the applicants shall be conducted by the Admission Committee of each Institute before they take the College Admission Test
Form 138 (HS Card) for freshmen and certificate of good moral character, medical certificate and 3 copies of “1x1” picture are the basic requirements for college admission applicant
High School Grade should be included in the evaluation of applicants.
Retention
A student will be retained in his course provided that he passes the qualifying examinations given by his/her institute or college upon completion of second year level.
Enrollment Procedure
Secure Pass Slip from the Student Admission Office (for freshmen)
Proceed to the campus clinic for physical examination (for freshmen) and present the medical/dental results to the enrolling instructor.
Report to the enrolling instructor/program adviser. Present the pass slip, (freshmen)/checklist or class cards (old students) for evaluation. Registration will be issued and to be filled up by the students.
Register with the NSTP/CWTS and/or Department of Citizen Military Training.
Proceed to the Discipline Section for verification of students with disciplinary records.
Proceed to the Student Welfare Assistance (SWA) to secure/validate SWA ID.
The accomplished registration form should be submitted to the enrolling instructor for advising and assessment of fees.
Pay at the cashier’s office. Students under the privilege of Sangunian Kabataaan/Barangay Officials shall present certification of exemption. Likewise, the scholars shall also present Certification of Scholarship.
Report to the College Library to secure/validate Library Card.
Proceed to the Office of the Student Federation/Local Student Council and mother organization of every institute/college to register/validate membership.
Report to Student Organization Section to secure/validate School ID
Report to the Registrar’s Office
Present Registration Form for stamping of “ENROLLED” together with the official receipt of payment
Secure class cards
Transferees
A student from other colleges/universities wishing to transfer must satisfy College Rules on Transfer Student
The weighted average is not lower than 2.25 and without failure in any subject from the school last attended
The quota set by the Institute concerned has not yet been filled up
Passed the qualifying test
Comply with the following requirements:
Certified true copy of scholastic record
Certification of good moral character from either the President, Dean or Registrar of the school last attended
Transfer credentials (honorable dismissal)
4 copies 1”x1” recent photo
Medical Certificate
Foreign Students
Foreign students are those who are not Filipino citizens and who desire to enroll in the College Department.
Foreign student seeking admission shall comply with the following requirements:
Present a certified true copy of Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR).
A study permit issued by the Commission on Higher Education and Student Visa by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation
Result of Validating Examination administered for High School Students
Credential such as Card or Transcript of Record
Those who come from non-English speaking countries are required to pass the English Proficiency Test to be given by the College
Pay the prescribed tuition fee for foreign students
Sit-in Students
Sit-in students in all levels should present a letter of request from the parents stating that they will not claim any credit for the period the students stayed in the school addressed to the school head and endorsed to the Admission Officer
The Admission Officer issues admission slip for the perusal of the person in-charge of the department or college. Likewise, they are required to abide with the school rules and regulations.
Shifting of Courses
A student may be allowed to shift courses provided that:
- He/she secures an application form for change of course in the Registrar’s office
- Student records would be evaluated by the Registrar and the Director, Office of Student Development Services based on the following criteria:
- Two-Year Certificate of Technology students transferring to four-year course should have a weighted average of not lower than 2.25 in their academic subjects
- Students who failed in their major subject shall be advised to shift to another major. A weighted average not lower than 2.25 shall be required in the major subject they are going to take.
- Career Education Development Program (CEDP) students who would like to go to technician education shall be admitted based on the Skills Development rating of their shop instructors. CEDP students who would like to go to four-year degree course should pass the college admission test in the desired course.
- A student to pursue Four-Year degree course should have a weighted average of 2.25 and above.
- All students who are shifting their course should pass the qualifying examination for the course they intend to transfer in.
- Recommendation for the approval in the change of course should be secured from the Director, Office of Student Development Services.
- Institute Head should approve the application form before submission to the Registrar’s office.
- Deadline for shifting of course is two weeks after enrollment.
- Shifting of course to another can only be allowed two times
