MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
PMS-OPES and Anti-Red Tape Act

The University has committed to implement and be the model SUC for Civil Service Commission (CSC) implementation and pilot-testing of Performance Management System - Office Performance Evaluation System (PMS-OPES) with the aim of improving productivity, accountability, agency performance and operational efficiency. The PMS-OPES was already pilot-tested last January 2009. This was done by taking into account the daily/ weekly/ monthly accomplishments of the office and measuring the quantifiable outputs with the corresponding points. Sharing of actual experiences in the implementation and lessons learned from pilot testing of PMS-OPES in some administrative units were included in the program last 2 June 2009.

Currently, the University is also adopting the latest CSC programs mandated by RA 9485 or Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) such as the Citizen’s Charter Development and orientation of all the faculty and staff specially the frontliners on ARTA. A seminar –workshop on the development of Citizen’s Charter was conducted simultaneously with the seminar in PMS-OPES for Academic Offices of the University last 2-5 June 2009.
